DETAILS ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Boksburg, Gauteng
Duration: 1 year
Hyundai Automotive South Africa is offering Apprenticeship level-1 positions to candidates interested in learning about and pursing a career within the automotive industry. This programme will not only give the candidate a number of responsibilities and tasks, but also allow them to join Hyundai's dynamic team.
Key performance areas and responsibilities of the programme:
- Removing, reconditioning, and replacing cylinder heads
- Deconstructing both service repair and service block engines with main components
- Removing, diagnosing, and replacing fuel system parts
- Have an understanding of basic electronics
- Ensure ignition system parts are tested
- Learning about the basics of engine efficiency and forged charging systems
- Ensuring that electrical components are removed, tested, repaired, and replaced
- Ensuring that clutch and transmission components are removed and replaced
- Diagnosing and repairing brake system components
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science as subjects
- Must have completed an accredited tertiary qualification that is in line with the role
- Must have mechanical skills
- Must be interested in learning about and working within the automotive industry
- Must be accurate and work efficiently
- Must be committed to completing the programme
