DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng and remote
Duration: 1 year

Intel is offering a Start-ups Analyst Internship opportunity, for current university students who are keen to gain experience in the field. The intern will support the team on the deep tech startups ecosystem in Africa, where they will be responsible for supporting Intel's engagements with external partners and key stakeholders in the deep tech startups ecosystem.

The position reports to the Director, Government Affairs Africa and receives direction from other internal stakeholders as required. The candidate will work remotely, however they will also meet with the team face to face in different occasions, in Johannesburg.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must be a current university student and must remain a student during the duration of the internship
  • Must be studying towards a Degree qualification in any of these fields: Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, and Social Science, or a similar subject
  • Must have a keen interest in the startups ecosystem (preferably in the deep tech sector)
  • Must have strong communication skills (analytical, oral and written)
  • Must have knowledge or experience of working with African startups ecosystem in African countries
  • Must be flexible and comfortable working in a cross-functional capacity within a fast-paced international environment
  • Must have excellent command of the English language (spoken and written)
  • Advantageous: excellent command of the French language (spoken and written)
