ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:

Berry | Astrapak is a speciality manufacturer of a vaiety of rigid moulded, and thermoformed plastic packaging products. The company has 2 major divisions: Moulding division, which is the biggest divions and has 6 plants in South Africa, and Forming division, which has 2 plants in South Africa (Thermopac and Plastform).

Astrapak serves various markets within the African market, including: personal care, food services, dairy and automotive industries. The a leading plastic product design and engineering company currently employs approximately 1500 people
 

DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Locations: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal and Cape Town, Western Cape
Contract duration: 12 months

Astrapak are looking for unemployed young graduates to enter their 12 month Internship programme in Durban and Cape Town. Candidates will receive extra training and practical workplace experience, and once the programme is complete, they will have grown their skills and knowledge a great amount.
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Education requirement: must have completed Matric (NSC)
  • Education requirement: must have completed a Diploma / Degree qualification in any of these fields: Finance / Human Resources / Industrial Engineering / Operations Management / Safety Health Environment and Quality
  • Must be unemployed
  • Must NOT have previously taken part in any other internship programmes
  • Must be innovative and constantly seeking new and better ways to do things
  • Must be ambitious
  • Must be willing to learn and inquisitive
  • Must be dedicated and driven
  • Must be willing to take part in a 12 month programme
