DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Locations: Kanaal Weg, Potchefstroom, North West

CFAM is offering an internship opportunity to a passionate, experienced, accountable, and motivated candidate. The candidate will take on the role of Project Engineering Intern and will provide assistance by organising engineering projects with the guide of the Project Managers.
 

Key Performance Areas of the Programme:

  • Using project proposals to analyse and design technical process flow diagrams
  • Making sure each projects relevant documentation is maintained accordingly
  • Performing regular check-ups and documenting key-actions and de scions from meetings
  • Partaking, organising and attending stakeholder meetings
  • Performing administrative tasks and other projects when requested
  • Compiling summaries and analysing commercial documents (quotes, contracts and proposals)
  • Performing quality control
  • Ensuring compliance on project management processes are adhered to by regular monitoring
  • Analysing potential project risks and providing solutions
  • Monitoring and maintaining project schedules/plans, budgets, work hours and expenditures
  • Setting-up project requirements and accurately capturing clients needs
  • Processing flow diagrams
  • Using project proposals to compile equipment lists
  • Monitoring projects tasks progress and compiling reports pertaining to this
  • Providing the Project Manager with assistance and support

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must have completed a Bachelor of Technology/ Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • OR
  • Must have completed a Bachelor of Technology in Project Management (with excellent abilities in technical engineering)
  • Must have experience in CAD (AutoCAD/ Solidworks) (advantageous but not essential)
  • Must be able to effectively use Gantt Chart Tools (GanttPro, Microsoft Project)
  • Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Offices
  • Must have high attention to detail
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be able to work effectively on your own and with a team
  • Must be able to meet deadlines
  • Must have good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must have excellent knowledge of administrative tasks (file management, transcription, etc.)
  • Must be able to work well in a team
