Clicks are inviting candidates to apply for their Pharmacist Internship programme, which will require providing quality pharmaceutical care and dispensary services, and certain aspects related to stock and financial management of the pharmacy. The position will report to and work under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager (Responsible Pharmacist).
Key output areas of the programme:
- Providing high quality pharmaceutical care, accurate and safe dispensing and giving advise in line with the legal scope of practice as outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Ensuring operational efficiency of the dispensary, by focusing on core dispensary and clinic targets
- Follow through with customer service initiatives in the dispensary, thereby ensuring satisfactory customer experience, customer loyalty and club card participation targets
- Withholding company values to ensure Clicks is customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer
- Undertaking operational activities of the dispensary (including stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping and administration in line with merchandising, SAPC regulations and company standards)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a Registered Pharmacist Intern with SAPC
- No working experience required
- Must have knowledge of SAPC and relevant legal knowledge
- Must have knowledge of ethical working practice and compliance
- Must be knowledgeable about stock, cost, risk and compliance management procedures
- Must be knowledgeable about patient care and professional counselling
- Must be knowledgeable about customer service excellence
- Must be computer literate
- Must have good planning skills
- Must be organised
- Must be customer orientation
- Must have good interpersonal skills
