DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: Claremont, Cape Town, Western Cape (Head Office)
Position: Trainee Equity Analyst
Salary: negotiable, dependent on experience
Contract duration and start date: 23 month contract, starting ASAP

Coronation Fund Managers have an amazing opportunity for a recently qualified graduate, to kick-start their career in equity analysis at the company. Graduates who majored in subjects like mathematics, accounting and economics, with a passion for business and financial markets may apply.
 

Duties and Responsibilities of the programme:

  • Assisting the team of analysts and fund managers with research support in various sectors
  • Training to possibly become an investment analyst
  • Assisting the team with ad hoc duties
  • Monitoring and reporting on fund manager portfolios (daily and monthly)
  • Assisting with administrative duties supporting the research process
  • Compiling presentations for internal report-backs and external roadshows
  • Assisting analysts with building spreadsheet models and company analyses
  • Assisting analysts with research projects in various sectors

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

  • Must have completed one of the following qualifications: Bcom degree / Business Science / Chartered Financial Analyst/ Engineering OR any degree qualification majoring: in Accounting, Economics or Mathematics
  • No work experience is required
  • Must have strong academic ability
  • Must have received top results in your degree
  • Must be passionate about business and financial markets
  • Must be computer literate and able to work in MS Office with Excel
  • Must be confident
  • Must be self-motivated and driven
  • Must be motivated by performance-based rewards
  • Must be always willing to learn and expand your knowledge
  • Must be proactive
  • Must be able to manage your own training
  • Must pay close attention to detail
