ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:
The Johannesburg City Theatres is a company comprised of many of the great entertainment and cultural auditoriums in the province. The theatres involved in this cultural experience are Joburg Theatre, Roodoport Theatre, and the Soweto Theatre.
The Soweto theatre holds a rich tradition within its community and is situated in the boundaries of Jabulani, a complex completed in May 2012.
DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Soweto Theatre, Johannesburg, Gauteng
Contract term: 12 months
Pay/ Stipend: R5 250 (all-inclusive)
Number of Positions Available: 1
The Johannesburg City Theatres is providing an internship opportunity to a candidate to join the Joburg City Theatres with the aim of contributing to skills development by allowing the candidate to gain relevant work experience in theatre.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Education: must have completed Matric (NSC)
- Education: must have completed a Diploma/ Degree or Bachelor of Technology in Public Administration or equivalent
- Must be computer literate
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years old
- Must be a student in need of Experiential Training
- Must have completed studies at a South Africa recognized institution of higher learning
- Must be fluent in English (written and oral)
- Must NOT have a criminal record
- Individuals living with disabilities are encouraged to apply
