ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE INTERNSHIP:
The National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC) was established in accordance with the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act No. 47 of 1996 (amended by Act No 59 of 1997 and Act No. 52 of 2001.)
They are a legal body that reports to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forests and consists of four divisions- Agricultural Trusts, Agribusiness Development, Market and Economic Research (MERC) and Statutory Measures. The main objectives of the NAMC are to promote the organisation of the marketing of agricultural products; enhance the earnings of exports relating to agricultural products and increase accessibility to market participants and to improve the practicality of the agricultural sector.

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng (and other provinces)
Salary: According to Agri-Seta rates
The National Agricultural Agricultural Marketing Council is offering an agriculture and office admin internship to a lucky candidate. The aim of the programme is to ensure that hard-working and talented individuals have the opportunity to gain maximum exposure to the work-sector and also have the support they need to develop and establish a successful career path.
Key Performance Areas of the Programme:
- Performing basic administration duties
- Providing support to various programmes and projects
- Ensuring that administrative systems are updated and maintained
- Ensuring logistical arrangements are successfully coordinated
- Ensuring the workflow of the office is smooth and well managed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Education: must have completed an NQF-6 qualification in any of these fields: Agriculture/ Supply Chain Management/Human Resources/ Office Administration/ Public Relation/ Information Technology
- Must have excellent administration skills
- Must be able to co-ordinate and plan effectively
- Must be able to work well with others and have great interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Must have excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Offices
- Must be able to solve problems easily
- Must be a good listener
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Must be able to work in a high-pressured environment
- Must be flexible
- Must have high attention to detail
- Must be goal-driven
- Must be willing and eager to learn
