DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

TWK Agri is offering an internship opportunity for the position of Trainee Insurance Broker within the company's Insurance Department.
 

Key Performance Areas of the Programme:

  • Assessing the insurance needs and risk profiles of clients by communicating and obtaining information from them
  • Ensuring a strong relationship is maintained with clients by attending and scheduling meetings as well as gaining an understanding of the client's businesses
  • Anticipating the clients' needs pertaining to insurance and policy renewals
  • Finding the right product that will meet your clients' needs by negotiating with underwriters and researching various insurance companies policies
  • Ensuring specialized insurance cover is arranged (e.g. Verifying cover placements by preparing reports)
  • Providing clients with assistance in operational risk management, leading to potential non-conventional insurance placements (e.g. Alternative risk transfers)
  • Ensuring that existing policies are amended/ renewed
  • Providing clients with assistance on claims service as well as risk management
  • Gaining new skills and engaging in marketing tasks
  • Ensuring that relationships with stakeholders are maintained in the value chain
  • Keeping records and doing policy administration
  • Ensuring that you are up-to-date with the new developments and changes in the industry

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

    Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

    • Must have completed Matric (NSC)
    • Must have completed a Degree in one of these fields: Finance/ Accounting/ Risk

      • Management/ Marketing/ Business or relevant

    • Must be computer literate
    • Must have excellent and confident negotiating skills
    • Must be able to work well with others
    • Must be an analytical thinker
    • Must have high attention to detail
    • Must have excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presenting)
