DETAILS ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: East London, Eastern Cape / Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape / George, Western Cape / Durban, KwaZulu-Natal

KONE Elevators is offering an apprenticeship programme for the role of Apprentice- Elevator and Escalator, at various branches. During the programme, the candidate will have the opportunity to join a team of professionals and establish a career within the elevator and escalator industry. The candidate will ultimately add value to the company and plummet into the working world.
 

As an apprentice, you will be expected to:

  • Use your physical vision abilities, this includes close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
  • Climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds at job sites and customer facilities
  • Be 100% medically fit
  • Sit, use your hands and fingers, reach with your hands and fingers, and talk to your colleagues
  • Stand, walk, climb, or balance
  • Lift and/or move up to 15kg

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

  • Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science as subjects and/or an N2/ N3 Mechanical/ Electrical qualification
  • Must be no older than 35 years of age
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Office
  • Must have excellent mechanical skills and abilities
  • Must be physically and medically fit
  • Must have excellent customer relations and interaction skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be driven
  • Must be able to work well in a team
  • Must have excellent leadership skills
  • Must be responsible
  • Must be detail orientated
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Must be able to meet all deadlines
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent technical and analytical skills
