The Sappi learnership programme is available in the areas of Repairmen and Process trainees. Students with a Matric pass who have completed Mathematics and Science as subjects, may be eligible.

The biggest crude oil refinery in sub-Saharan Africa, SAPREF, have a learnership programme which focuses on equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed for Chemical Operations.
