ABOUT THE COMPANY
The Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure is a sector of the South African government, whose aim for optimal usage of resources with regards to provincial government land and buildings. The core functions of the Public Works department are infrastructure planning and management, construction management, expanded public works programme, property and facilities management.
ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP
The Limpopo Department of Public Works learnerships focus on the following areas:
- Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
- Boiler making
- Capentry
- Construction: Bricklaying/ Masonry
- Electrical
- Horticulture
- Plumbing
- Roofing
- Tiling
Each year, learnerships are awarded to students who show great potential and would like to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge within a career path. The learnerships are administered by the SETA (Sectorial Education and Training Authorities) beneath the Ministerial of Higher Education and Training.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- South African citizen
- Between the ages of 18 and 25 years
- Completed Grade 10/ 11/ 12 with English and Mathematics
- No longer in school
- Currently employed or unemployed
