DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: South Africa
Duration: 3 years

MTN is offering an internship programme for the role of Chartered Accountant Trainee.
The aim of the programme is to allow the candidate, upon completion, to qualify and register as a CA within the telecoms sector.

During this SAICA-accredited programme, candidates will gain practical training in accounting, control, and external reporting as well as decision making for effective financial management.
The candidate will also receive training and gain knowledge in assurance, auditing, internal audit, taxation and risk management.

The programme layout:

1st year: Candidates will be assigned a rotation plan that is structured
2nd and 3rd year: Candidates will ensure their plans line up with their interests (this can include financial accounting, business risk, financial planning, internal audit, business risk management, corporate taxation, company secretariat, pricing, consumer marketing, mergers, and acquisitions.)
3rd year: Candidates will have the opportunity to apply for international secondment within the MTN Group.
