DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: South Africa (remote)
Duration: 12 months

Philips is offering a Finance Internship opportunity, to allow the candidate to gain valuable skills and experience in an environment that is supportive and promotes learning.

The intern will be part of the Finance Function in the META region in South Africa whilst working with colleagues in Africa, Turkey, and the Middle East. The intern will engage in both on-the-job and classroom learning, and through this, help the company tackle complex challenges relating to evolving health and well-being needs.
 

Key performance areas of the programme:

  • Assisting the finance team in partnering with the business to provide accurate reporting
  • Conducting data collection and interrogating source data in SAP (this will be done to ensure the accuracy of GL postings)
  • Gaining support from the Accops team to conduct GL reconciliations for SAP
  • Engaging in PTP support to ensure supplier documents are correctly posted (this will be done by working with the PTP team to close queries)
  • Engaging in variance analysis actual against AOP and assisting in deep

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must have recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Advantageous: completed an Hons Bcompt qualification
  • Must have completed all modules/ credits for your qualification with a minimum aggregate of 60%
  • Must have obtained your qualification on/ after 2019 (preferable)
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Must NOT have previously participated in any other internship opportunity
  • Must be a recent graduate
  • Must be passionate about helping others
  • Must be eager to build a better and fairer future
