DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:

Location: South Africa (remote)
Duration: 12 months

Philips is offering an IT Internship opportunity, to allow the candidate to gain valuable skills and experience in an environment that is supportive and promotes learning.

The intern will be part of a diverse team of IT professionals, focused in Africa, Turkey and the Middle East.

Domestic Appliances IT drives the connected, digital IT landscape of the future – enabling business growth, operational excellence and driving business innovation.

Key performance areas of the programme:

Helping evaluate business demands, understand criticality from the business and help to manage priorities and expectations by continuing the IT landscape managed by Royal Philips, while establishing the Domestic Appliance future IT landscape.
Helping manage the life cycle of applications/infrastructure assigned, including decommissioning.
Handling a number of small application(s) and /or infrastructure solutions.
Informing teams of operational issues and assist in resolution. May assist in budget, quality and regulatory initiatives for IT on the application/infrastructure that are assigned.
Assisting in the transformation of the programme e.g. testing of infrastructure and application solutions.
Working with other teams to co-ordinate the proper solution.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:

Must be a South African Citizen
Must have completed a Degree or Diploma in any of these fields: IT, Business Information, Informatics
Must have completed all modules/credits for your qualification, with a minimum of 60%
Must have oo prior work experience
Must be fluent in English and have good communication skills (verbal and written)
Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office
Must have preferably completed your qualification after 2019
