PwC is offering an Accounting Function Graduate Programme, alongside the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA).
This programme will be offered at several PWC branches across the country and will allow graduates to serve their articles over 3 years whilst gaining hands-on coaching through the company's Assurance practice. During the programme, the candidate will gain key personal, business, and technical skills which they can utilise across PwC and in their professional career.
Key performance areas of the programme:
- Ensuring transactions in accounting records are accurately captured
- Performing reconciliations
- Completing bookkeeping tasks to balance sheets
- Ensuring financial statements are prepared
- Completing tax returns and performing tax calculations
- Ensuring general accounting functions are completed according to PwC standards
- Assisting managers with client matters, such as administrative work
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed or partially completed Financial Accounting Degree
- Must have the intention of completing your Degree as a Professional Accountant
- Must be fluent in English
- Advantageous: excellent command of the Afrikaans language
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and Pastel
- Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have strong leadership skills
- Must be business-minded
- Must be technical and Digital minded
- Must be able to work with a diverse group of people
- Must be able to foster genuine and meaningful relationships
