DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal
Duration: 12 months
Sappi Southern Africa is offering a Supply Chain Internship opportunity to qualified individuals, where they will acquire the necessary skills, competencies and experience within the related field.
The intern will be based at the Global Business Services in Umhlanga, where they will report to the Exports Shipping Manager and will support the business with different tasks and responsibilities.
Interns will be required to fulfil these duties and responsibilities:
- Provide support to sales portfolio, mills and supply chain departments
- Provide basic product and customer interaction knowledge
- Assist with forecasting, inventory planning, scheduling, and purchasing
- Assist the Planning Department with allocation, block space and urgent making requirements
- Provide support with processing orders according to standard procedures accurately and review the orders placed by peers to reduce booking errors
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Grade 12/ Matric
- Must have completed a Supply Chain Degree or equivalent qualification
- Must be computer literate and have experience using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
- No experience is required
- Must be fully Covid-19 vaccinated
- Must be willing to complete the full training programme
