DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Illovo, Johannesburg, Gauteng
Duration: 12 months
Number of positions available: 5
Sasria is offering Learnership opportunities to learners interested in gaining on-the-job practical workplace experience, while also receiving ongoing support and training.
The Learnership programme aims to create a pipeline of young talent within the business, and after completion, learners will receive a full Short-Term Insurance Qualification NQF 4.
The following learnership programmes are available:
- Claims Learnership Programme (2 positions available)
After completing the programme, learners will have the necessary skills to process and handle claims within the delegated authority by ensuring validity, assessing liability, and negotiating settlement, whilst ensuring excellent customer service and cost containment. The management of claims should be within the governed framework to ensure compliance with the short-term insurance regulations. - Centre of Excellence Learnership Programme (1 position available)
After completing the programme, learners will have the necessary skills to identify training / learning, designing / sourcing training and learning solutions, delivering, and evaluating training needs to support the overall organisational Learning & Development culture. The learner will also assist the organisation with the planning of human resources development and meeting skills development and Employment Equity requirements. - Stakeholder Management Learnership Programme (2 positions available)
After completing the programme, learners will have the necessary skills to handle internal and external stakeholder relationships and contribute to overall GWP (Gross Written Premium). The learner will also be able to identify stakeholders, analyse their needs and expectations; and plan and implement various tasks to engage with them.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed a Matric certificate
- Preference will be given to candidates living with disabilities

ABOUT THE COMPANY PROVIDING THE LEARNERSHIP:
Sasria is a public enterprise listed under schedule 3B of the Public Finance Management Act No 1 of 1999. They are a non-life insurance company that provides coverage for damage caused by special risks such as politically motivated malicious acts, riots, strikes, terrorism and public disorders.
Sasria is a state-owned entity, that reports to the Minister of Finance via the National Treasury. The company serve two fundamental strategic directives; the first being a legislative one that calls for a focus on research and investigation of any risks that can be considered to be of national interest.
