DETAILS ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Germiston, Gauteng
Duration: 4 to 5 years
Tiger Brands, partnered with Optimum Engineering Training, is offering apprenticeship opportunities to students, within these trades: Instrumentation Technician and Millwright.
Training will take place in Germiston at Optimum Engineering Training, and candidates will also be required to complete practical on-the-job training within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
This programme is in partnership with Optimum Engineering Training – company that delivers learnerships in packaging, processing, first line maintenance and management at supervisor, team leader, production manager, departmental manager, unit and factory manager level.
All candidates will undergo a screening process which based on their results, will determine which trade they should be placed in.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed an N6 qualification and passed Mathematics, Physical Science, Engineering Drawings and Trade Theory as subjects
- Must have strong technical skills/ aptitude
- Must be willing and eager to learn
- Must have a positive can-do attitude
- Must be hard-working and have a strong work ethic
- Must be able to travel for training
- Must be able to work shifts, overtime and on public holidays if required
