Tiger Brands is registered with the FoodBev SETA and provides opportunities in accordance with the requirements set out by SETA. The institution monitors and assesses the necessary work and learning experience needed for certain qualifications to ensure candidates achieve this upon completion.
DETAILS ABOUT THE GRADUATE PROGRAMME:
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Contract Type: Fixed-term
Tiger Brands is offering a graduate programme which will grant candidates the opportunity to work on and support projects in the company. During the programme, candidates will work closely with the Supply Chain, Commercial, Human Resources, Finance, Bakery, and Corporate Affairs departments.
The programmes offered at Tiger Brands are on a fixed-term basis and aims to equip candidates with the necessary skills needed to complete their tertiary qualification. Upon completion of the programme/ work experience period, candidates will obtain their qualification and have the opportunity to join the Tiger Brands Management Trainee programme or any other relevant vacant role.

- Addressing the shortage of critical and scarce skills
- Creating a workplace consisting of skilled employees with formal tertiary education
- Ensuring that the FMCG industry is promoted as a front-runner
- Ensuring that candidates are provided with practical work experience and exposure to specific Tiger Brands’ roles
- Ensuring that unemployed graduates are provided with the opportunity to gain new skills that will put them in high-steed in the industry
Key Performance Areas of the Programme:
- Providing support for project work
- Engaging in problem-solving
- Working closely with the cross-functional team to ensure Workplace Experience projects are completed under the supervision of the Line Manager
- Gaining on-the-job work experience that is necessary for your career
- Achieving business objectives by performing other responsibilities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Matric (NSC)
- Must preferably have completed one of these qualifications: Bachelors of Technology in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engineering OR a Degree in Industrial Psychology/ Human Resources/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Finance (related)/ Marketing or Strategic Communications/ Biotechnology or Food Technology
- Must have obtained your qualification from a recognised Academic Institution
- Must have a minimum academic aggregate of 65%
- Must be available to participate in the Graduate Workplace Experience programme
- Mus be hardworking
- Must be committed to learning and gaining new skills
- Must require in-service training to complete their qualification
