DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Greytown, KwaZulu-Natal
Duration: 2 years
Salary: R 100 000 per annum

Umvoti Municipality is offering 6 Finance Internship opportunities to qualified graduates. The programme will be based in Greytown and will run for 2 years.
Key performance areas of the programme:
- Aiding in administering the Municipal Finance Management Act and budget reforms
- Aiding in creating financial statements, budget, and management reports
- Aiding in creating statistical reporting modules and financial policies and procedures
- Aiding in financial analysis and reconciliation
- Ensuring that the electronic capturing of financial data and other line functions are completed
- Aiding in Internal Auditing
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must have completed Matric/ Grade 12
- Must have a 3 year Bachelors Degree or National Diploma in either of these fields: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Internal Auditing or Risk Management
- Must be willing to complete the programme
- Must consent to practical/ proficiency testing
