DETAILS ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME:
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Duration: 2 years
Number of positions available: 4
The WRC is offering 4 internship opportunities to candidates residing within Pretoria, Gauteng. This programme is open to candidates interested in pursuing a career in Research and Development within the water research sector of South Africa. The programmes will take place at various WRC branches, allowing the candidates to hone their skills and establish their future careers by being exposed to different business areas. The candidates will also enhance their cross-functional expertise by engaging and participating in work assignments, business improvement projects, and initiatives.
The following intern positions are available, in WRC's various branches:
- Finance Branch: Finance Internship and Supply Chain Internship
- Corporate Service Branch: People and Culture Internship
- Innovation and Impact Branch: Marketing Internship

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:
Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified:
- Must be computer literate (knowledge of MS Word/ Digital Media Design/ Multimedia Design/ Graphic Design, or related)
- Must have excellent organisational skills
- Must have high attention to detail
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Finance Internship: must have completed a 3-year Diploma or Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Supply Chain Internship: must have completed a 3-year Diploma or Degree qualification in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Procurement Management, or a related field
- People and Culture Internship: must have completed a 3-year Diploma or Degree qualification in Human Resources Management or related field
- Marketing Internship: must have completed a 3-year Diploma or Degree qualification in Creative Brands Communications, Digital Media Design, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, or a related field and must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and CorelDraw
